Weekends in Mudgee is vibrant again. With social activities restarting, pubs and breweries in Mudgee are buzzing with energy. Taps are busy pouring liquid libation to local patrons and tourists while home-grown bands and musicians fill the air with music and rhythm.

The relaxed, casual, and friendly ambiance of pubs has always been what drives people in but it’s what’s on the table – drinks, food, service that will set it apart the rest and will make it stand-out.

Pubs offer some amazing food – yes all fried and grilled type – burgers, pizza, roasts and barbecues, finger food and all the good casual but very satisfying meals and pub fares. Perhaps this is part of the charm of most pubs. It gives guests an avenue to relax and enjoy after a long day or a hectic week.

Apart from wineries and cellar-doors, pubs and breweries are a must visit in Mudgee too. For a wide selection of craft beer, head to Three Tails Brewery. The pub has 18 craft beers on tap all ready to pour IPA, Pale Ale and Stout. If you’re up for a variety, get the taster paddle which comes in 4 beers. Want to share their beer or bring it at home, they have canned beers too which you can pickup before calling it a night. Three Tails is also popular for its Texan-style barbecue courtesy of Smokin Bro & Co. Of course nothing pairs with beer better than perfectly grilled and smoked beef ribs, burgers and tacos. Go for their feast which comes with meat, sides and sauces.

Another popular pub is Paragon Hotel, loved by locals and tourists alike the Paragon Hotel specialises in a characterful bar to drink, traditional pub fare to eat, and a place to meet with friends. The Bushman’s Table, the pubs Bistro is Open 7 Days a week, eat in the bar or delight in one of their casual outdoors spaces.

Of course you can’t miss Mudgee Brewing Co. The first micro-brewery in Mudgee opened in 2007 and has since been the go to place for locals and a must visit for tourists. The town’s favorite watering hole has been pouring  8 craft beers from the tap, all brewed onsite. The food here is also something to look forward to. They offer an extensive food menu featuring beer snacks, pizzas and a variety of mains; confit duck, prawn pasta and mussels will satiate sophisticated appetites while  the fish and chips, schnitzel burgers and wings are for those who don’t mind getting their hands dirty.
