Mudgee Reader’s Mini Festival is a program featuring writers from in and around NSW with focus on Central West. The event has been on for eleven years and fueled by the passion of a small team of passionate readers with its first events held in Lawson Park. Over the years the festival has gone from strength to strength, with an exciting line-up of events around the gorgeous town, including MRF Book Club and bibliotherapy sessions, storytelling events, book and wine matching and Long Lazy Lunch.

Mudgee Reader's Mini Festival

MRF want attendees to be an active part of the festival, engaging in conversations, creating potential content, and sharing ideas with brilliant writers.

While the Festival has been running sessions for young people since the beginning, in 2018 these events grew into the Mudgee Young Readers’ Festival. Harry Potter trivia, a Street Library session for families, YA Book Swap, Sunday Story-time plus school sessions with bestselling authors are just some of the MYRF events that have wowed our youth audience.
