MudgeeQue is Mudgee’s popular Barbeque and Smoked Meats Festival hosted every first Saturday of winter. Sparking the interest of Low ‘n’ Slow Barbeque, Craft Beer, Spirit, and Wine lovers, the cool, crisp country air will be filled with the sizzling aromas of slow-cooked and smoked meats.

The fiery affair commences at 2 pm and continue until 8 pm – offering plenty to eat and drink adding flame to the occasion is a line-up of the best local live music performances.

Festivalgoers embrace the crisp country air, warming themselves by crackling fire drums and indulging in the slow-cooked BBQ. As the sun goes down, the music livens up. The paddock turf dancefloor invites festivalgoers to have some good old-fashioned fun by embracing the freedom of the country and dancing under a canopy of stars. The fun-loving and indulgent festival aims to attract locals and visitors from all over the country to reignite their senses in Australia’s Top Tourism Town – Mudgee.

Entry tickets are $40 per adult (includes collectible MudgeeQue Glass) and $10 per child (plus booking fees), with the option of a return bus transfer from a number of local Mudgee hot spots. Children under 2 years enter for free.

The latest venue is the grounds of the iconic country landmark – the Australian Rural Education Centre (AREC), just a short drive from Mudgee’s central township
