Things to do in Mudgee - Weekend Market

Wine Masterclass

Yes, we said this is about activities other than wines, vineyards, and cellardoors but, when you’re in Mudgee, you may want to level up the experience with a wine masterclass. It is an enriching experience as you learn how to better discern the qualities of fine wines – aroma, color, tasting notes, and more. You’ll also learn about the makings of the wine and its maker’s history. So the next time you open a bottle and enjoy a glass, you’ll have a deeper appreciation for every sip.

Weekend Markets

If there’s one thing you shouldn’t miss while spending time in Mudgee, it’s to visit the markets. No matter which week of the month you come, there’s always one open either for produce, crafts, and other goods.

One of the go-to is the Farmers’ Market held every Saturday from 8:30am to 12:30pm at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Mudgee. It features fresh local produce, artisanal bread, cheese, and other food products. On the third Sunday of each month, there’s Mudgee Fine Foods Market showcasing a range of gourmet food products, including locally made wine, cheese, olive oil, and chocolate. The Lawson Market on the other hand features a range of handmade crafts and local produce. This is hosted every second Saturday of the month.
